Privacy policy

This policy explains how Paper Napkin Agency LLC (“Paper Napkin”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us about our services.

Who we are

Paper Napkin Agency LLC is a company registered in North Carolina, USA. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@thepapernapkinagency.com or by post at Paper Napkin Agency, 5473 Blair Rd Ste 100 #80038, Dallas, Texas 75231, USA.

What this policy covers

This policy covers our website and the business contacts we deal with. It does not cover the personal information of supporters who take part in campaigns we run for nonprofits and charities. In that work we act on our clients’ instructions under written agreements, and each organisation’s own privacy policy explains how it uses its supporters’ information. If you took part in a campaign, please contact that organisation first.

Information we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, email address, organisation, job title and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
  • When you visit the website: technical information our hosting provider records to keep the site secure and working, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit.
  • Fonts: the website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not currently use website analytics.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about our services.
  • To provide services to our clients and manage those relationships.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Our legal basis (UK and EU)

If you are in the UK, Ireland or elsewhere in the European Economic Area, we rely on our legitimate interests to reply to enquiries, run our business and keep the website secure; on contract where we provide services to your organisation; and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
  • Google, which provides our email and workplace tools, and the fonts used on this website.
  • Our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or recognised data transfer frameworks.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and business contact information for as long as we have a relationship with you or your organisation, and for up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Technical website logs are kept only for a short period by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@thepapernapkinagency.com. We will reply within the time the law requires.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Children

This website and our services are for organisations and professionals. They are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s information through this website.
